Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Enjoying crispy sweet potato fries is one of our favorite foods.⠀Sweet potato fries are slightly higher in calories and carbs but also more nutrient dense than french fries. The greatest nutrient difference is that french fries have no vitamin A, while sweet potato fries are high in Vitamin A, which is important for vision and immune support.

If you've ever tried to make sweet potato fries in the oven, you probably know these fries need a little help to get that delicious, crispy texture. Here’s our recipe!⤵️

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Heat oven to 400°F

Cut potatoes into sticks 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide & 3 inches long

Rub well with a good pinch of salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper and a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda! (that's the big secret for crunchiness)

Drizzle with 2 tbsp. olive oil

Spread on a baking sheet/-(s) lined with parchment paper (helps with crunchiness)

Place on top rack of oven, bake for 15 minutes, flip the sides and then cook for another ~15 min.

Remove when they are desired crispiness and light orange color is gone (they are done!)

Sprinkle with a pinch of Himalayan salt, cinnamon, cumin, and nutmeg powder.

Enjoy!
